Everleaf Gaming Network and Universal Poker Network (UPN) have announced that they will be merging in an attempt to attract more players. Both Everleaf and UPN are really small networks and the new network is aiming for a player average of 600 at any time. The name of the new network has not been announced yet.

A tracking of UPN done in October 2009 reported that their network grew from aplayer average of 60-70 to 300 whereas Everleaf Gaming only reported 70-80. However, in the past UPN was not open to US players but as Everleaf accepts players from all over the world, so will do the new network. Deposits will be accepted in Euros and USD$.

The two networks also recruited former Brunson Ten pro team at Doyle’s Room Alec ‘traheho’ Torelli, clearly as a good strategy to attract more players.
