WSOP Takes Events to South Africa


The World Series of Poker is once again broadening its horizons and will possibly be making its way to South Africa for the first time this October, with two non-bracelet events tentatively slated to take place at the Emerald Resort and Casino. 2009 Poker Hall of Fame Nominees

  • They must have played poker against acknowledged top competition
  • Played for high stakes
  • Play consistently well
  • To have stood the test of time
  • For non-players, they must have contributed to the overall growth and success of the game

 This year the Poker Hall of Fame let the public vote for their favourite player to be inducted into the poker HoF. However, this resulted in a lot of inaccuracies in which the candidates chosen did not fulfill all requirements and it was more a popularity contest. So the Poker HoF official board members had tu cut down the list and eliminate players like Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan.
