Some of you may have already heard about Doyle Brunson’s latest blog post, but I still want to write about for those who have not and because I found it extremely interesting. Poker’s Big Papa stated that Las Vegas is an undesirable place for a professional poker player to live and that he was considering moving.

This week we saw some intense action at the high stakes online poker tables, with Patrik Antonius having collected a significant figure from the other poker pros. A lot of poker pros were seen at the high stakes table even though they were also playing the Aussie Millions during the past couple of days.
We all know that once you become a recognized figure in poker sponsorship deals will start falling from the sky. In November of last year the name Jonathan Duhamel became the heading of every poker news section and he became coveted by important poker sites.
Finally, the poker pro has made a decision:
Online poker titan Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan had us hanging with his challenge against another titan of poker, Patrik Antonius. However, before that challenge came to an end, durrrr entered a new challenge this time against Dan ‘Jungleman12’ Cates. The challenge has been ongoing, and the two players met at the tables once more on Monday night.
Recently, Sam Simon, the co-creator of one of the most popular animated TV series ‘The Simpsons’, talked to the Las Vegas Review Journal and informed them of some cheating scandals he has witnessed this year.

The virtual high stakes poker games never seize to amaze me. The pros just throw crazy amounts of money in which makes the action more intense and enjoyable everytime (regardless of how the games make me wish I had THAT much money available to gamble).
Anyway, Gus Hansen had been on a hot streak over the past couple of weeks but lately he dropped over half a million at the tables against some of the toughest opponents in a six-hours long gambling session.
First he played against Di ‘Urindanger’ Dang and he lost over $57,000 in 176 hands of $500/$1000 Cap Pot Limit Omaha. Next came Ilari ‘Ziigmund’ Sahamies who played against Hansen for nearly three hours and drained $375,282 from him in 686 hands.

The Full Tilt Poker high stakes games are always extremely interesting to watch. Mainly because the world’s top pros compete there and bet mad money at every game. Last week the action got intense when Cole South had a super week at the high stakes table.
South probably scored his highest record for one day ever taking $1.1 million away from the other players. He took about $750,000 from recognized pro Ilari ‘Ziigmund’ Sahamies and another $350,000 from great poker player Patrik Antonius.
Cole South also managed to take the largest pot of the year so far off Ziigmund with a value of $634,777. The day prior to this, South had been playing Phil Ivey heads up at 300/600 PLO and took $152,000. Cole South is on fire!
