A 23 year-old poker player from Sydney, Australia became the local hero this past week at the final table of the Aussie Millions. Tyron Krost took down the title in a tough final table and banked AUD 2,000,000 for his efforts.
A lot of people in the poker world had their hopes on Sorel Mizzi as he came to the final table with a remarkable chip advantage. However, he could not manage to make things go his way and had to settle with 3rd place finish.
At the final table things began to work well for Krost when there were only 4 players left. He took the chip lead and did not let go after that and when it was time for heads-up play he was ready for it.
Amongst other notables, Annette Obrestad finished in 7th place and Peter Jetten finished 5th.
