The Rio Casino & Resort in Las Vegas started hosting the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2010. On Friday, the WSOP kicked off and more than 100,000 squared feet of playing space was ready at the casino for them.
This year there will be 57 bracelet events and organizers have stated that No-Limit Hold’em is the most popular game. “This is by far the grand daddy of all poker. The Woodstock of poker,” says WSOP tournament director Jack Effel.
Last year the prize pool of the Main Event allowed Champion Joe Cada to cash out for $8.25 million. Everyone expects that this year it will be even greater so this is your chance to go and play for big money. If you do not think you are able to play with the big boys yet then you can just go and watch for free.
We will keep you updated on how the events develop.
