The CardRunners team seems to be getting smaller every month. In April Cole South announced that he was leaving the site and now Brian Townsend has announced he will be doing the same.

Townsend stated on his blog that as of June 1st he will no longer be part of the instructors crew at the site. The news did not stop there, the poker player also announced that he will no longer be a Full Tilt Poker red pro and will go back to being just “sbrugby”.

“I have started to realize that it is time for me to move on and devote my time to playing poker,” the poker pro stated.

Brian Townsend’s red pro status on Full Tilt Poker included a couple of suspensions  as in the summer of 2008 it was discovered that he had been playing under two alliases in both, Full Tilt and PokerStars. This resulted in Townsend’s red pro status to be suspended for six months.

Honestly, no one thinks either of the sites are losing too much sleep over Brian Townsend’s pulling out of them. We will see what awaits the pro in the future.
